How to find Derrywater House

Driving directions from Dublin airport
The journey time from Dublin airport is just over an hour. From the airport, take the M1 (signposted Dublin). Leave the M1 at junction 3, then at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the M50 (signposted M50 Southbound). Continue onto the M11 and then the N11.

After about 30 miles, take the exit for Rathnew, Rathdrum and Arklow (R752) and enter Rathnew. Follow the signs for Rathdrum (passing through Glenealy). Stay on the R752 and follow the road to Rathdrum. A mile out of Rathdrum, take a right turn signposted for Aughrim (R753). Follow the road through Ballinaclash as it bends sharply to the left after the bridge.

In Aughrim, drive through the village, go over the bridge with Lawless’s on your right and come to a t-junction. Turn left and follow the road for approx 2 minutes until you come to a cul-de-sac. The house is immediately on the right, look out for the stone sign!

Directions from Derrywater House to Ballybeg House (for wedding guests)
Drive back towards Aughrim village and follow the road towards Tinahely. After approximately six miles you will reach Campus Oil Service Station. Turn right here and follow this road until the end. At the end, take a left turn and after approximately 500m you will reach a sharp bend with Ballybeg on the right.
